Non-League Day On Saturday

4 September 2014

Not going to Hartlepool? Then try a local game

With Town making the long trip to the North East on Saturday to take on Hartlepool some fans might not make the trip.

If you aren't travelling then why not pop and support one of the local non-league clubs on 'Non-League Day'.

Non-League Day was set up by James Doe and is now in its 5th year. This season it is partnered with Prostate Cancer UK which is the Official Charity Partner of The Football League with many clubs holding fund raising events.

Non-League Day provides a platform for clubs to promote the importance of volunteer led community football while giving fans across the country the chance to show support for their local non-league side.

Teams local to Shrewsbury Town who are scheduled to be at home that day include: Shifnal Town, Market Drayton, Bridgenorth, Shawbury United and AFC Telford, also see http://www.nonleagueday.co.uk/map.html for games.

Look out for special events, reduced entry charges and alike on club websites and social media.  Tweets and Facebook
