Town made the short trip to Wrexham’s Colliers Park to play the first of their away games in this season Final Third Development League.
Town fielded a mixed side of first team players and youth teamer and in the end it was a pretty open game with both sides having their chances.
The deciding factor came on 55 minutes when Aaron Wildig threaded a ball through for James Caton to run in on the Wrexham goal, he kept his nerve to calmly slot the ball home and give Town the points.
Dave McAllister continued his recovery from injury with another important 90 minutes under his belt.
All in all a good afternoon for the Development squad who picked up their first win of this season’s campaign.
