No Deadline Day Activity, Confirms Micky

1 September 2014

Manager rules out any more signings in this transfer window

Manager Micky Mellon has confirmed there will be no more transfer activity at Shrewsbury Town on deadline day.

Town have made 17 signings this summer, the most recent being midfielder Anthony Griffith, but Micky has ruled out any more incomings or outgoings in this window.

"We've got all of our work done now," said Micky.

"We're happy with the group that we have and my job is to try and keep them continually focused, keep the standards high and keep on making them better.

"We're trying to build something here and grow a football club, not dismantle it. As of the moment, I'll turn my phone off and hide."

The Town boss revealed he will be enjoying the excitement of deadline day like a fan, without having to worry about matters at the Club.

"I'll probably just be watching it as a football fan like everybody else," he said.
