Midfielder Wants To Keep Up His Record Against Bantams
"The gaffer's said that if we play in a two then he wants me to get the ball off the back four and control the game," said Ogogo."It gives me licence to get forward every now and then but if we play a three he said I can hit the box, which is my game box to box, or if I play the edge of the diamond like we did against Blackburn I like to get in the box and try to score goals."
The 25-year-old has plenty of competition in his position and explained the kind of role he has been asked to perform for the team this season.
"Things are going good, I'm very well," said Ogogo.
"I'm enjoying training and enjoying the matches so things are going very well at the moment.
"It's been different, obviously I've always been used to living in London.
"I'm a little bit away from there now but all of the boys have made me feel settled, the coaching staff and I'm really enjoying it."
Ogogo, who moved to Town from Dagenham & Redbridge in the summer, feels he has settled well into life with his new team mates.
"(My first goal) was a volley (against Bradford)," said Ogogo.
"I made a run to the edge of the box, the right winger crossed it in and I ran onto it and volleyed it in. That was a nice one.
"On that occasion with Dagenham being a smaller club than Bradford they came to us and we won 2-1.
"I've got quite a good record against Bradford.
"Most of the times I've played against them we've won or got a result, so hopefully that can continue on Saturday.
"Bradford away they're going to have a big crowd. They're going to want to get a good result.
"We're going to go there confident even though we lost our first game and hopefully get a result.
"Their crowd is going to be expecting them to get a result so we go there nice and relaxed - no pressure.
"We can build on the result on Tuesday night and hopefully get a good result there."
Ogogo scored his first-ever professional goal for Dagenham against Bradford, and he wants to keep up his winning habit against the Yorkshire outfit.
Town take on the Bantams in Sky Bet League 1 at the weekend (3pm kick-off) looking to get their first points on the board for the new season.
Midfielder Abu Ogogo is hoping to continue his good record against Bradford City when Shrewsbury Town visit Valley Parade on Saturday.
