Winger goes out on loan to Mansfield
James Caton has joined Mansfield on a month’s loan after impressing while on trial at the League 2 cup.Cates hasn’t featured over the pre-season and has turned out for AFC Halifax and FC Dordrecht as well as Mansfield.
Town manager Micky Mellon has said that Caton isn’t in his plans for this season and is hoping that the spell at the Stags will be good for James:”“James has gone to Mansfield on loan for the next month and he’ll play there for that month.
“After that is up we will look at how it’s gone and we’ll look at it again there.
“James had gone out and worked hard to get himself football and I think he will do well during his time at Mansfield.”
