Search For CEO Replacement

7 December 2015

Chairman Roland Wycherley on the search for Matt Williams replacement

Following the news that Shrewsbury Town CEO Matt Williams will be leaving his post at the end of January the search for his replacement has been ongoing.

The club have been receiving enquiries and applications for the post and will be assessing these to find the right person to join Shrewsbury Town.

Speaking to ShrewsWeb Chairman Roland Wycherley said:”The reluctant search to find a replacement for Matt is progressing well.

“Since the announcement that he is leaving we have had many enquiries about the position.

“The post has also been advertised through football recruitment agencies and the Football League to find a suitably qualified and experience candidate.

“We are taking the time to look at all of these and to find the right person to continue the good work that Matt has started.

“It is an important appointment and one which we must make sure we find the right person for.”

While the discussions and interviews are taking place there will be no further comment from the club.
