A Question Of Shrewsbury Town

26 January 2015

Grange Primary School Pupils Quiz Town Staff

"It was great to have the children down at the stadium and it's good that they can come down and watch us train and spend some time with the players and the staff.

"These are hopefully the next generation of Shrewsbury Town fans. Every little thing we can do to encourage them, we will.

"It was nice to finish off with the quiz and despite great competition from Andy and Michael, the class shone through in the end with me and Matt running out as easy winners."
Micky said:

The event was part of a community education day hosted by Shrewsbury Town Community Sports Trust, which saw the children from the school shown around the stadium and educated about the local football club.

Micky and Matt pipped the manager's backroom team of Hodgen and Vernon with a 9-7 victory.

The questions ranged from the number of seats in the Greenhous Meadow to Town's record transfer dealings.

Questions were asked by two children from the school and the team which pressed their buzzer the quickest got their answer in first.

Town manager Micky Mellon and chief executive Matt Williams formed one team as they went head-to-head against the team of fitness coach Andy Hodgen and first team performance analyst Michael Vernon in 'A Question of Shrewsbury Town'. Shrewsbury Town's staff were tested on their knowledge of the Club by pupils from the Grange Primary School in a Question of Sport style quiz at the Greenhous Meadow on Monday afternoon.
