Defender Wants To Play Against Former Club
Shrewsbury Town defender Mat Sadler is itching to play against his old side Birmingham City on Tuesday night.
The defender would love the opportunity to start against the club who he supports, with Town taking on the Blues in the midweek pre-season friendly at Greenhous Meadow (7.30pm kick-off).
"I’m looking forward to the game on Tuesday against Birmingham," said Sadler.
"I am Birmingham born and bred and I am a massive fan so hopefully I can play.
"I know it is only a friendly but any game against the Blues I look forward to, but the main thing is to get the best out of ourselves ready for the new season."

The 30-year-old played in the Premier League for the Midlands club prior to moving to Watford in 2008.
Sadler is now hoping to make the most of his time at Shrewsbury Town.
"I absolutely loved my time at Birmingham, they will always be my team," he said.
"I have had some fantastic memories there, some of my best times as a player.
"I will cherish those times forever but they have now gone and I want to make some new memories here at Shrewsbury Town Football Club.
"I’m very excited for the season ahead, there is a really good feel about the place. The manager is really driven to succeed here, the Club is in good hands so there is plenty of reasons to be optimistic."
