Webster And van Gerwen Delight The Crowd

Keep an eye out on the Shrewsbury Town YouTube account for video highlights and interviews from the event.

The pair each received a replica Shrewsbury Town home shirt, signed by the Town squad, with their surname and the number 180 on the back as a token gesture.

Webster and van Gerwen also faced off in a competitive, 501 best of seven game at the end of the night with van Gerwen running out as the winner.

The event was sold out with more than 200 people packed into the Sovereign Suite.

And members of the crowd, ranging from all different ages, got to test their skills with the arrows against the two players on a fun-filled night.

Both players were then greeted to a loud atmosphere when entering into the Sovereign Suite with their walk-on music blasting in the background.

Van Gerwen, the current world number one, and former BDO champion Webster, arrived at the Greenhous Meadow at around 6pm and met the fans in the Arthur Rowley lounge, posing for pictures and signing memorabilia.

Shrewsbury Town Football Club enjoyed hosting a fantastic 'Clash of the Champions' darts exhibition with Mark Webster and Michael van Gerwen on Friday evening.
