Gaffer wants to share celebrations after the Argyle game

When the final whistle blows after the Plymouth game we will all have a successful season to celebrate no matter what happens.

The game has been sold-out since early this week as Town fans look to celebrate the end of a successful season in league 2.

With promotion secured last weekend at Cheltenham we know we will be in the Sky Bet League 1 next season.

After a long seasons of football Micky Mellon, his coaching staff and players want to do a lap of honour when the game is over.

To do this the pitch will need to be clear and the plan is for Micky and the players to return to the dressing rooms then after a short time come out to do a celebratory lap.

The Town manager knows it will be a special day for Town fans and he wants everyone to share in it:”I’d urge all Town fans to stay off the pitch at the end of the game so we can all come out and celebrate this season’s achievement together.

“If you do come onto the pitch then after you have celebrated please go back to your seats so we can all come back out and do a walk round the pitch.

“We have promotion to celebrate and the players want to have the time to walk round the whole pitch and enjoy the moment.

“We have all been part of this season’s journey and it will be a fitting end to come back out and celebrate together.”
