Manager's Thoughts After End-Of-Season Game
"We can do that looking forward to knowing that we are now a League One team."
"You have to take stock and enjoy these fantastic moments because they don't come around all the time.
"We will now make the most of these celebrations because an awful lot of hard work has gone into this season. We are going to make these celebrations last as long as possible.
"But I can't be too tough because, at the end of the day, over a 46 game season we are the second best team in the league.
"I felt we looked leggy and never really got going.
"They were worthy winners on the day.
"Plymouth are a very good side and they came here determined to take some good form into the play-offs.
"But we won't judge a 46 game season on one game. We will keep that in isolation.
"We were pretty rubbish against Plymouth.
"They have always bounced back from defeats and put a lot of winning runs together.
"It's been a good season from the word go. We have had some fantastic results and the boys have been very consistent.
"The job is now to work as hard as possible to make sure we are very competitive next season.
"This is a League One club, there is no doubt about that. It deserves to be in League One.
"At the end you could see how much the promotion means to the fans. It is huge.
"We weren't quite good enough towards the end but to finish as runners up is a fantastic achievement. We are delighted.
"They are very worthy winners of the league - they were relentless to end and huge congratulations to Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink and his players.
"It's mission accomplished, promotion for us and what I must say is every congratulations to Burton," said Micky.
Manager Micky Mellon spoke of his delight following the end-of-season game against Plymouth Argyle - with Town having already secured promotion to Sky Bet League 1.
