The results of the voting were as follows:
"Thanks, MOTD! It’s a great honour and I’m really proud that my performances have helped the team get promotion.
"My main aim at the start of the season was to help this club get back to League One.
"Getting promoted was brilliant, and playing Chelsea in the Capital One Cup was massive.
"Even though we lost 2-1, we put the club back on the map with that display and had a lot of teams feeling scared after that!”

Woods picked up a massive 54 per cent of the votes from voters through the magazine's website, which received thousands of votes this year.
