"I'm delighted to win it and I've got to give thanks to my team mates and the manager also for how he's used me in this period as well," he said.

"Without them it wouldn't have been possible. I'd also like to thank the Shrewsbury and Crystal Palace fans who voted for me and supported me during the time.

"I need to try and continue that form and help the team as much as possible. We need to pick up wins in the upcoming fixtures."

Kaikai, who scored five goals in give matches in March, has thanked everyone on the whole for their part in his award.

"It's the first time I'll have played against Millwall at The Den so it will be a good experience," said Kaikai.

"Playing in games like this is only going to make you improve as a player.

"It shows the confidence in the team that we want to win every game and we believe we can.

"We've prepared well for the game so hopefully we will get the right result."

And Kaikai, who has been named as the Sky Bet League 1 Player of the Month for March, is looking to continue his own run of good form.

Town take on the Lions at The Den this weekend (3pm kick-off) looking to get back to winning ways following the defeat to Wigan Athletic.

Sullay Kaikai insists Shrewsbury Town are confident of picking up a positive result at Millwall on Saturday.
