Shrewsbury Town in the Community enjoy their day at the Flower Show

Shrewsbury Town in the Community visited the Shrewsbury Flower Show today to promote the great work they do within the County.
Coaches were on hand to provide tips for young players, whilst also giving out free ticket vouchers for kids that took part.
Hundreds of children took part in the activities, which included passing challenges. Whilst, Lenny the Lion was also on hand to bring a smile to people’s faces.
The community were also promoting their Soccer Schools, Mini Kickerz programme and the clubs new look junior membership packages.
Bryn McGilligan-Oliver was one of the coaches who attended and he thought the day went well.
"We're down here promoting all of our different programmes, mainly our Junior Shrews and our summer soccer schools, and it's a good little set up we've got here in the Children's area,” said Bryn.
“It's been a good day. We've got great coaches here on hand and also back in the community, so it’s all about doing fun games and getting them involved.
“We've got loads of different programmes going on. We've got our junior memberships, we've got our soccer schools that run throughout the whole summer and in half terms.
“We've got all sorts of fun programmes and programmes which lead into our Advanced Development Centre's as well, so there is something for everyone and it's just about raising awareness and getting people involved.
“We've been handing our prizes, including free ticket vouchers for kids, and we hope that we can help inspire them to want to play football and be involved with Shrewsbury Town,” added Bryn.
