Grimmer returns

31 August 2016

Defender joins until the end of the season

Shrewsbury Town Football Club are delighted to announce that Jack Grimmer has returned on loan until the end of the season from Fulham.
This will be Jack’s third spell at the Greenhous Meadow after playing a big role in helping Town get promoted in the 2014/15 season and then fight off relegation last season.
22 year old Grimmer, who can play at right back or centre half, has made 31 appearances for Town and will be remembered fondly by Town fans for his last minute goal against Sheffield Wednesday last season which saw Town reach the Fifth Round of the FA Cup.
Jack admitted that he is excited to be back at the club.
“It feels good to be back,” said Jack.
“It’s a place I know very well, because obviously it’s my third stint here, so I think the club know what they’re getting, I know what I’m getting, so it suits everyone down to the ground.”
“My plan is to hopefully keep clean sheets and win games and get us as high us and as far away from where they currently sit as possible.”
Grimmer is hoping that his third spell will allow him to get plenty of game time.
“My aim is just to play games. Hopefully get the game time, that’s not certain with any team, but hopefully get the game time, knuckle down, work hard and help the team win games and improve.”
