UK Little Rascals sponsor ballboys
Former Shrewsbury Town midfielder Dave Edwards has agreed a deal to sponsor Shrewsbury Town’s ball boys for the 2016/17 season.Edwards’ company UK Little Rascals will feature on the back of the ball boys shirts on matchdays.
The sponsorship is being run in connection with Shrewsbury Town in the Community, for whom Dave is an ambassador.
Little Rascals was set up in 2015 and is an indoor soft play centre for children, based in Shrewsbury.
Dave is pleased to be able to promote his business, whilst also giving something back to the club he has supported since he was a boy:
“It’s a great way for me to keep Little Rascals tied in with the club,” said Dave.
“With my background here, it was a no brainer for me.
“So many young kids come to the games and its great advertisement for us, but more than anything it’s nice to have a connection with the club.
“As little as it might be, it’s money in their pocket at the end of the day and hopefully they will be able to put that to good use.
“We’re based in Shrewsbury, so it’s really important to have a club like this, which has such good community links, to be a part of that and hopefully this can be the start of something that can grow,” Dave added.
Little Rascals will also sponsor Shrewsbury Town in the Community’s Mini Kickers programme aimed at getting children from 4-7 years of age into football.

“To have somebody who did so well with Wales in the Euros and one of the best known footballers in Shropshire, to be willing to help us, we are so grateful for the impact that he has.
“The impact he has when children meet him or when adults meet him is really good and it just helps us communicate more about what we do by having someone of Dave’s stature.”
