Town disappointed with prices for Boxing Day trip

Shrewsbury Town travel to Bolton Wanderers on Boxing Day for their first visit to the Macron Stadium.

Since we were made aware of the prices for the match, Shrewsbury Town have spoken to Bolton Wanderers to raise concerns at the price for our fans.

Bolton have categorised the game as a Cat A game which means the prices will be the highest charged at the Macron.

As a gesture to supporters who buy tickets for this match, the club will add double loyalty points to their account as well as giving them a festive selection pack.

Shrewsbury Town CEO Brian Caldwell is disappointed with the prices and has made the clubs feelings known;

”I have contacted BWFC myself to pass on our disappointment at the pricing for our supporters”,

“Pricing for league away games is obviously decided by the home club and therefore out of our control.

“However as a goodwill gesture to our fans during the festive period we will be giving our supporters who purchase tickets for this match double loyalty points.

“Also everyone purchasing a ticket, or who has purchased a ticket up until now, will receive a free festive selection pack which we have arranged in  partnership with our food suppliers Woodward Foodservice.”

The festive selection packs will be available from reception and the ticket office from next week.
