Christmas Cheer for Young Fan

29 December 2016

Young Mascot thanks Shrewsbury Town in the Community for his day

Christmas came early for one Shrewsbury Town fan this year, after Shrewsbury Town in The Community helped provide some festive cheer.

When the Town players took to the field on 26th November against Port Vale at Greenhous Meadow, they were accompanied by young Morgan of Trinity Primary School.

Shrewsbury Town in The Community first heard of Morgan back in October, after governor Anthony Price informed us that Morgan, a season ticket holder along with his family, was in Birmingham Children’s Hospital following an accident.

Fortunately we were relieved to hear that he was on the mend, but to help give him a boost in his recovery we invited Morgan to be a mascot at the Port Vale match.

We were delighted that he was able to attend, and thank him and Anthony Price for their card and email expressing their gratitude and well wishes.

We would like to wish Morgan a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, and hope to see you and your family at Greenhous Meadow soon!
