Loan Update

19 December 2016

We take a look at how our youngsters are getting on away from the club

It was a difficult weekend for Shrewsbury Town’s youngsters as they look ahead to spending the festive period with their respective loan clubs.

Kaiman Anderson was back amongst the goals as he scored his 13th goal of the season against Coalville Town. Coalville had taken the lead before Anderson struck back prior to half time. Kaiman then had a couple of efforts in the second half to put Halesowen Town in front, but it was Coalville who would go onto win the game with two goals in the final 20 minutes.

Shaun Rowley enjoyed a decent afternoon between the sticks for Chorley as they drew 1-1 with Tamworth in the National League North. Rowley made two fine saves in the opening 15 minutes as Tamworth made a quick start, but it was Chorley who would take the lead early in the second half. However, they couldn’t hold on as Rowley was eventually beaten on 58 minutes after some sloppy defending.

Meanwhile, Callum Grogan’s afternoon didn’t quite go to plan. Radcliffe Borough had taken the lead, but a goal before half time and two quick-fire strikes after the break put Borough 3-1 behind and despite getting one back they couldn’t find a late equaliser.

All three players will now face local derbies over the Christmas period.
