French Midfielder Joins Until End Of Season
Shrewsbury Town are delighted to announce the signing of former Blackpool midfielder Elliot Grandin on a short-term contract.
The 28-year-old has signed with Shrewsbury until the end of the season and becomes Manager Micky Mellon’s sixth acquisition of this January transfer window.
Grandin passed his medical and after agreeing terms on a short term deal his paperwork has finally all gone through.
Grandin, a former French U-21 player, brings with him a wealth of experience having played with the Tangerines during their Premier League campaign in 2010.
And Manager Micky is delighted to bring in such a talented player who he knows well from his time at Blackpool.
He said: “I’m just very, very delighted to bring in another talented footballer into the club. He has Premier League experience and plays at the end of the pitch that we felt we had to improve in.
“He runs along back fours where he can unlock defences with his talent. He’s a player we know very well form his Blackpool days playing in the Premier League and he will add to an already growing, stronger squad.”
Grandin, who passed his medical this afternoon before receiving international clearance, can count other teams such as French sides Caen, Grenoble and Olympique de Marseille on his CV as well as spell a spell in Bulgaria with CSKA Sofia and a short spell at Premier League side Crystal Palace.
Elliot is available for the trip to Fleetwood.
