'Severn Hospice needs to raise nearly £7 million every year to enable us to continue providing care and support to people in Shropshire and Mid Wales who are living with incurable illnesses; we are only to do this thanks to the incredible generosity of our local community and people like you.'

'The money raised by this auction will help us to provide care to  the thousands of local people who rely on us each year.

A statement from Severn Hospice read: 'Thank you very much to everyone who is bidding, or who is going to bid on this ticket.

13 pence is invested in fundraising initiatives and just 9 pence is spent on administration, so you can be sure that the donations they receive are put to good use.

For every donated pound Hope House receives, almost 80% goes directly into providing care services for the children they help and their families.

Hope House relies on donations from supporters in the community to provide important services.

In the coming year, it will cost Hope House £6m to provide specialist nursing care and support to life-limited children, young people and young adults across Shropshire, Cheshire, North and Mid Wales; that’s over £100,000 every week.

"They're special places to me personally as well as the Club.

"We always try to find ways of helping such special places, certainly in the time that I've been here.

"I've been very lucky to be on the inside and involved with the two places, and to be able to give them any kind of help that we can and make things better for the people that are there, then we'll continue to try and do that.

"The tickets are for two places that are very special to the Football Club."
