Striker Moves To Shrimpers Until End Of Season
"We wanted to try and shake things up.
"Southend asked about Tyrone (Barnett).
"He isn't playing regularly at the minute, so when we put it to him he wanted to speak to Southend and decided to go.
"It frees up some funds for me in order to go and try to strengthen the group with fresh blood that I know the group needs.
"Tyrone is at an age now where he needs to play regular first-team football, and that wasn't happening here the way things were going.
"From our point of view it will enable us to bring in the likes of (Larnell) Cole and (Jack) Grimmer." Manager Micky Mellon said:
