Chairman’s Statement Post Chesterfield

Club to lay on free coaches to the Cardiff FA Cup game

Chairman’s Statement Post 7-1 Chesterfield Defeat.

Firstly I’d like to thank the fans that traveled with us to Chesterfield at the weekend, it hurts me to say it was the worst result in 50 years, and in my tenure as Chairman at the club. But we have to now draw a line under it and move on.

I agree with the sentiment of Captain Liam Lawrence who suggested that we refund the cost of the ticket to those fans that traveled to the Chesterfield match, but unfortunately it is virtually impossible to identify every supporter who attended. In appreciation to our dedicated supporters we will be running free coaches for traveling fans to Cardiff leaving from the Greenhous Meadow. Please call the ticket office on 01743 273943 to book your free place.

The board and myself are 100% behind Micky and we have given him our full backing as we enter this January transfer window. We all see last weekend as a huge wake up call, but non the less, Micky has assured me it won’t happen again. Micky’s a man with a good heart and a strong vision for the team.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all our fans for their continued support.

R E Wycherley
