Town Host Sheffield Wednesday In Fourth Round

Shrewsbury Town have been drawn at home to Sheffield Wednesday in The Emirates FA Cup Fourth Round Proper. A second-half header from Andy Mangan gave Shrewsbury a 1-0 win at Championship side Cardiff City in the Third Round Proper on Sunday evening. 


especially with it finally being a home draw;"It's a game that Town manager Micky Mellon is looking forward to, We wanted a home tie so it's good that the draw had finally been kind and given us that.


“The game will be a really good test for us against a very good side who are doing well in the Championship.


“It will be nice to see another big crowd inside the Greenhous Meadow and hopefully we can give the Town fans the result they want and keep this cup run going.”


All Fourth Round Proper ties are to be played across the weekend of 29 January - 1 February, meaning Town' Sky Bet League 1 clash at home to Southend United, which was due to take place on Saturday 30 January, will now be rearranged.

A date, time, venue and ticket details for the match will be announced in due course.
