Jack Grimmer On Oldham Athletic Clash

26 January 2016

Defender Wants To Build On Victory At Burton

"Before I came, the team tends to do better against the teams that are higher up the league," said Grimmer.

"If you are playing Oldham or if you play Burton, you come away with three points.

"They will be eager to get the win as well but if we go out and play the way we want to play we will win.

"You are only as good as your last result so we just need to keep building on it and the manager keeps going on about consistency is what we are lacking," said Grimmer.

"It was a great result and a great performance by the lads but it doesn’t mean much if we go out on Tuesday and lose."

And Grimmer, who is on loan at the Club from Championship side Fulham, believes Shrewsbury are more than capable of beating the Latics with the right performance.

Town take on Oldham Athletic in Sky Bet League 1 at Greenhous Meadow on Tuesday night (7.45pm kick-off) looking to build on the 2-1 victory at Burton Albion on Saturday.

Defender Jack Grimmer insists Shrewsbury Town must turn their habit of beating teams above them into all league games.
