Clarification on memorial area at the stadium
For clarification the memorial bricks behind the Salop Leisure Stand were set up in August 2007 when Shrewsbury Town occupied its new home. It was set aside as an area for fans to remember their loved ones and the area the bricks occupy was officially blessed by Bishop Alan Smith and Reverend Tim Welch.The garden that is being discussed was set up more recently by the kitchen as a herb garden and fruit trees for fresh produce to be used in the kitchen. All of the trees and herbs are being replanted and restored to the left of the community hub. The remembrance bench will be located in this area as close to its original position as possible.
