New season ticket offer for serving members of the armed forces
Shrewsbury Town have run a scheme over the past few seasons where serving members of the armed forces receive free tickets to the clubs Football League games. We are pleased to confirm that this scheme will once again run during the 2016/17 Sky Bet League season.We have had a number of enquiries as to whether the club could extend the scheme to allow season tickets to be purchased under a similar scheme to allow families to sit together and to guarantee their seats through the season.
The suggestions we received were to whether members of the armed forces could purchase season tickets at the student rate. This suggestion has been taken onboard and season tickets will be available to acting members of the armed forces at the student price.
CEO Brian Caldwell is hoping that the forces season ticket will make it easier for more families to come regularly to the Greenhous Meadow.
“We’ve taken the suggestion on board and the new forces season ticket is an easy decision to make”, said Brian.
"Hopefully it will make coming to the games easier for service personnel and their families and they will become regular supporters.
"We are trying to make it easier for young supporters and their families and I think this offer will be another popular one.”
