Manager Expects Tough Test At Gigg Lane


Tickets for the trip to Bury go off sale from the Greenhous Meadow ticket office at 1pm on Friday 18 March.

Tickets can then be purchased on the day at Gigg Lane with no price increase.

"It's huge with ten games to go having the players available," said Micky.

"It's important that everybody's available and ready if called upon."


Micky confirmed that the full squad except James Wallace trained on Thursday morning with the midfielder doing work on the outskirts of the pitch.
"It'll just be 3 o'clock on Saturday," said Micky.

"Both of us are professionals and will want to win.

"After the game we'll spend time together, we're very good friends."


Micky is looking forward to locking horns with Dave Flitcroft's side - a manager he knows well from when the pair were at Barnsley together.
"It's one we're very much looking forward to," said Micky.

"Dave Flitcroft will have them revved up for it and it's an important game for both teams.

"It will be another tough game as usual and we know that we've got to get most or all things right to get a good result.

"It's about continually improving the group and trying to get better all of the time."


The Shrews beat Bury 2-0 at Greenhous Meadow in October, and Micky, who celebrates his 44th birthday on Friday,

Town travel to Gigg Lane for the Sky Bet League 1 fixture at the weekend (3pm kick-off) looking for their fourth victory in March.

Manager Micky Mellon expects a tough test for Shrewsbury Town at Bury on Saturday.
