To all Shrewsbury Town fans for your support this season
With the season over and Town securing their Sky Bet League 1 place for next season it’s now the time of the season where the club reflects on last season but then looks towards the next one.
It’s been a season where history has been made and records have been set, the FA Cup run that saw Town take on Manchester United, an impressive away record but a home one we would like to put right next season.
CEO Brian Caldwell has been in his post since February and would like to thank the Shrewsbury Town fans for their support and backing this season.
“Now that the season is over on behalf of everyone at Shrewsbury Town FC we would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our supporters for the fantastic support throughout the 2015/16 season”, said Brian.
“There certainly have been some highs and lows but throughout this the backing the team got from the fans was always fantastic. Even yesterday at Swindon the numbers and fancy dress and inflatable’s certainly added to the atmosphere and despite the result the costumes brought smiles to our faces!
“We have already started our planning for next season and following meetings last week there are a list of targets identified by Micky and his staff that we will endeavour to bring on board over the coming weeks as we strive to improve our league position going forward.
“Since joining the club in February I have been overwhelmed by the warm welcome that I have received and been impressed by the passion and love for the club I have seen from the supporters.
“Enjoy the summer break and we will see you back at the Greenhous Meadow in July for the pre-season games”
