Stadium and Shirt Sponsor To Change

7 November 2016

Club seek new stadium sponsor and shirt sponsor from next season

Shrewsbury Town’s shirt and stadium sponsors Greenhous have announced that they will not be extending their sponsorship beyond the end of this season.

Greenhous have been long term sponsors of the club for well over 40 years in a number of capacities.  They became shirts sponsors again in the 2007/08 season following the move to the new stadium, which became the Greenhous Meadow in May 2010 after Greenhous also took over the stadium naming rights.

Greenhous have shown really impressive growth over the years and now operate business from Bristol to Scotland.  They are currently reviewing their business as a whole and their current sponsorship deals are part of this review.

Shrewsbury Town FC are extremely grateful for the support and excellent long term relationship between itself and Greenhous and also for their consideration to advise us at this early stage of their decision.  However, we are delighted that Greenhous will continue to support the Club in other ways going forward.

It now gives the Club the opportunity to seek a new stadium sponsor and shirt sponsor from next season.  We will be contacting our key partners to give them an early opportunity to discuss in more detail the benefits of our various sponsorship packages.

Shrewsbury Town Chairman Roland Wycherley thanked Greenhous for their support; “We have been associated with Greenhous for many years and have been proud to see their growth as a company. During that time we have both gone through a lot together and I would like to thank Greenhous for their support over the years.

“Greenhous have continued to expand their business around the country while Shrewsbury Town, since 2007, have enjoyed two promotions, four seasons in Sky Bet League One and several high profile cup games that have helped promote the Shrewsbury Town and Greenhous brand names around the world.

“We now look forward to forming new partnerships which I hope will be as long term and successful as the one we have had with Greenhous.”

On behalf of Greenhous, Joint Chief Executive Derek Passant said; “We have greatly appreciated our association with the football club over many years.  The Greenhous Board would like to wish Shrewsbury Town Football Club continued success, both on and off the field, in the coming years.”
