It's Southport FC or Fleetwood Town in the 2nd Round
Town have been drawn at home to the winners of tonight's Emirates FA Cup game between Southport FC and Fleetwood Town in the 2nd round of the competition.Town put in a good performance on Saturday in the first round to beat Barnet 3-0 at the Greenhous Meadow.
The games are scheduled to be played on the weekend of 3rd December and we will bring full details once the dates and kick-off times are confirmed.
Town manager Paul Hurst is looking forward to the second round and a game against the winners of tonights game;”It's good to be drawn at home and in a cup competition you can't ask for more than that.
“If Fleetwood do get through then we will be playing them three times in just over a month.
“Which ever way the result goes tonight we will know a lot about Southport and if it is Fleetwood we will be sick of the sight of each other.
“Every team will think they will have a good chance to get through but with us having home advantage I think that will give us a good chance to progress to the third round when the big clubs come in, so fingers crossed.”
