Youth Group Offer

21 November 2016

Free day out for up to 25 to Sky Bet League One game

Shrewsbury Town have launched a new initiative for youth groups which will offer up to 20 U16 and 5 adult tickets for free.
The initiative is for any of Shrewsbury Town’s home Sky Bet League One games and is open to any local youth group during the 2016/17 season.
The offer will start following the Port Vale game on Saturday 26th November and it is hoped it will give local Youth Groups a good day out at the Greenhous Meadow.
Town’s CEO Brian Caldwell is hoping that another initiative aimed at the younger fans will be a success.
“We are trying a new initiative to attract local youth groups, whether that be boys groups or girls groups, cub, scouts or any other group who might be interested to get younger supporters to come along to the games”, said Brian.
“We are offering an opportunity where we will give away up to 20 U16 tickets and five coaches tickets, depending on what the group is, to come along as a group at no cost.
“We are trying to attract as many new supporters as we can and I’ve said since day one we need to try and reduce the average age of our supporters and we are trying a lot of initiatives to achieve that.
“The Junior Supporters group and the activities that go on in the community hub have gone down well, as have the tweaks to the junior admission prices have also been well received.
“If we can get a group of 20-25 to come to the game and enjoy it then they will hopefully go back to their parents and say what a great day they had at Shrewsbury Town and then ask to come back as they’ve had a nice family friendly day.”
