Over 1,000 sold as Early Bird deadline nears
Shrewsbury Town Football Club are delighted to announce that Season Ticket sales for the 2017/18 season have reached the 1,000 mark.Season tickets have been on sale for just over five weeks and the sales are on a par with last season’s numbers.
Shrewsbury Town once again froze ticket prices for next season, meaning an adult season ticket works out at just over £12 a game.
The deadline for ‘Early Bird’ season tickets has been set as the 15th of April this year and CEO Brian Caldwell has urged fans not to miss out ahead of the deadline.
“Overnight last night we were over the thousand mark, which was obviously pleasing”, Brian told ShrewsWeb.
“We need to continue to get the message out and I would urge all supporters to pass on the message to others that the deadline won’t be extended.
“We extended the deadline to the 15th in the first place to accommodate people who get paid on the 15th of the month, so next Saturday will be the deadline.
“We will be open 9-12 on the Saturday, but thereafter there will be no further extension to the deadline.
“We have always said that a deadline is there for a reason and I just don’t get the thing that happened in the past, because if gives people a false idea of ‘Why should I buy my ticket in the first week if the deadline is going to be extended?’
“Obviously we are pleased that we’ve gone over the thousand mark last night and people obviously realise that it is good value for money.”
The ticket office will be open between 9am and 12pm on Saturday 15th and online sales will continue until midnight that evening.
Season tickets are now on sale from the ticket office at the Greenhous Meadow, over the phone on 01743 273943 or online https://www.eticketing.co.uk/shrewsburytownfc/
