Exciting Community fundraiser to climb Snowdon at night
Shrewsbury Town in the Community are looking to recruit eager volunteers to join them on their night time journey to the summit of Snowdon, taking place on Friday 23rd June 2017.Trek the highest mountain in England and Wales, throughout the night! Trekking Snowdon (1,085m) during the day time forms a great challenge, but by using torches to light our way and having the moon as our back drop, reaching the summit at night brings another sense of achievement to an already recognised trek.
Seeing the sunrise across Snowdonia National Park will be a memory never forgotten. Upon our descent we will witness the breath-taking mountain range open up to give glorious views and afterwards we tuck into a delicious celebration breakfast!
You will be led by experienced and fully qualified mountain leaders, and will receive a nine week training plan prior to the challenge!
The cost of the event is £65, this includes all travel, the instructor who will be guiding you on the trek, medical support and breakfast that you will receive once you have made your way back down!
This will need to be paid along with a completed registration form at the time of booking. The full balance is required no less than four weeks prior to departure (Friday 26th May).
All sponsorship money you raise is to be collected within four weeks of completing the event (Friday 21st July).
