Shrewsbury Town full-back Joe Riley has returned to full training with the squad.
Riley suffered a nasty ankle injury in the final game of last season and has been working hard with Chris Skitt and the rest of the medical staff over the summer.
Paul Hurst was pleased to see Joe heading in the right direction and hopes to have him available soon.
“He started training on Thursday and Friday”, said Paul.
“We’ve got an odd number in terms of our rooming list and I just felt it was right to bring Joe down and make him feel part of it.
“We’ve done some work before the game. He will be doing most of the training now, but he will also be doing extra to try and catch up.
“He’s still quite a bit of a way off in terms of fitness, but it’s great to have him back. He flew into a couple of tackles on Friday, which is always a good sign that mentally he’s heading the right direction.”
