Salop Leisure Help Town

12 December 2017

Squad spend the morning at LoveFitness

With the adverse weather conditions in Shropshire the snow has hampered the preparations for the weekend’s game with Blackpool.

The training ground is under 10 inches of snow as is the training pitch at the Montgomery Waters Meadow.

Town have great relationships with a number of facilities around the town, but these have also been affected by the weather or have long standing bookings.

One new facility is the Love2Stay resort at Salop Leisure and the LoveFitness facility they have on site.

This morning Town physio Chris Skitt was looking for somewhere to take the players and Salop Leisure came up trumps.

“We were looking for places to train this morning and I gave Tony at Salop Leisure a ring, and luckily he was able to help out", said Chris.

“It is always challenging to train when the weather conditions are so extreme.  The facilities at LoveFitness are great and we’ve managed to get all the fit lads inside and give them a good blast.

“It’s good to see the outside facilities here as well and I’m sure we will be looking to use these over pre-season as a change of scenery for the lads.

“I would like to thank Tony and all at LoveFitness for helping us out today, it is most appreciated."
