Shrewsbury Town in the Community's new fundraising scheme
New for 2017/18, Shrewsbury Town in the Community will be introducing ShrewsGiving – designed so that generous donations of Shrewsbury Town supporters make a real difference to peoples lives in the local community.
Shrewsbury Town in The Community are the official charity of Shrewsbury Town Football Club, working with the club aiming to make a positive difference for all across Shropshire through sport and learning. STITC are now looking to further this support by helping to kickstart additional projects in and around Shropshire through ShrewsGiving.
Over the course of the season there will be 10 bucket collections at the Montgomery Water Meadows by Shrewsbury Town in the Community staff and volunteers. All money raised will be matched by Shrewsbury Town in the aim of raising £10,000 over the course of the season of the 2017/18 season for local projects.
STITC is inviting Shropshire charities to apply for the opportunity of funding of up to £2500 to start a new project with support from the ShrewsGiving fund. All applications will have one simple outcome – to improve the lives of people in Shropshire. There will be set criteria that each application must fulfill to proceed to final application stages.
The best applications will be shortlisted and then it will be up to the fans to choose the winners of the funding through an online vote. The application process will officially open in early 2018 – so watch this space for more information.
