Striker returns to Newcastle after six month loan spell
Shrewsbury Town can confirm that Ivan Toney has left the club at the culmination of his loan spell.Ivan's six-month loan deal was up after Monday's game with Fleetwood Town and he has chosen to return to Newcastle United.
Ivan played 26 times for Town scoring 7 goals during his loan spell.
Paul Hurst confirmed after yesterday's game that Ivan would be moving on.
He said, "I think Ivan will be coming back. I think he's had that on his mind unfortunately for a little while."
Meanwhile, Ivan took to social media to thank the club for his time with Shrewsbury Town.
Ivan said, "I would like to thank everyone at the club, staff, fans and players for making my time very enjoyable. It was a great experience and still a learning curve. I would like to wish the club all the best in the future and hopefully they get where they should be, which is the top half of the table."
