Loan spells for Waring and Ebanks-Blake come to an end
Strikers George Waring and Sylvan Ebanks-Blake have left the club at the culmination of their loan spells.George joined Town in mid-August on loan from Stoke City and went onto make 18 appearances without finding the back of the net.
Meanwhile, Sylvan joined the club from Chesterfield on transfer deadline day and went onto make seven appearances for Town.
Town’s gaffer Paul Hurst has given his thoughts on the pair’s departures.
“In fairness they probably didn’t have as much football as I’m sure they’d want,” he told the press.
“For Sylvan, he’ll have a new manager in place – so it might be a fresh start for him.
“For George, I think he’s had a couple of loans spells now where it hasn’t quite worked for him. I hope he can get somewhere where he can get games, because that’s the best place to learn and get experience.
“They both leave with my best wishes for the future.”
Everyone at Shrewsbury Town would like to thank both players for their hard work and efforts during their time at the club and wish them well for the future.
