Town will have a Shropshire Home even when they go away
Long standing sponsors of the club Shropshire Homes will be the front of shirt sponsors of the away kit for the next two years.
Howard Thorne MD at Shropshire Homes and fellow directors Richard Bowler and Gerald Rogers have been sponsoring the club since the 1980’s and supporting them even further back than that.
“Shropshire Homes have been a mainstay of sponsorship for the club for many years now, regularly sponsoring matches, advertising boards, the youth team and academy and for the last 5 years the next match sign outside the ground”, said Richard Hill, Commercial Manager at Shrewsbury Town
“We have a very good relationship and I am thrilled that they have decided to expand their support of the club further by sponsoring the front of the away shirt.”
“It is a big part of the club ethos to help promote the very best of Shropshire and we will now be doing that when we play away with the Shropshire Homes name proudly on display”.
Howard Thorne, Managing Director of Shropshire Homes said
“We first sponsored the Town back in 1986 soon after we had established Shropshire Homes. That was a match ball against Chelsea in the FA Cup. We have sponsored the Youth Team since 2000 and are really excited to now have our name on the team’s away shirts. We are looking forward to a successful season”
The new away shirt will be worn by the 1st team squad when they take on Cardiff City on Tuesday 25th July at Montgomery Waters Meadow, 7pm, and will go on sale in the Club Shop before the new season begins.
