Shrewsbury Town

Shrewsbury Town in the Community are hosting trials for the club’s Academy, our Shadow Squad and Advanced Development Centre this July, in preparation for the 2017/2018 season.

Taking place on the 3G pitch at Shrewsbury College, hopefuls will have the chance to make their mark, and could find themselves representing Shrewsbury Town at a number of levels.

Our Shadow Squad and Advanced Development Centre are invite only programmes which look to provide opportunities for players between the ages of 7-12 years to benefit from advanced coaching. Sessions are designed to develop the skills relevant to the modern game for all players, across all positions and for players to be comfortable in all areas of the pitch. All of our sessions are set to be at high tempo and should encourage a high work rate from all players as a result.

Players train on a weekly basis, play against the club’s Academy and is overseen by the Community’s Development Manager Tom Peevor.

Trials will take place on the following days:

July 3rd: Ages 7-8, 5pm-7pm

July 10th: Ages 9-10, 5pm-7pm

July 17th 11-12, 5pm-7pm

To take part in the trials you must register via email at community@shrewsburytown.co.uk. You must include your full name, date of birth, age group (2017/2018 season), position, emergency contact, email and your pro or grassroots club.
