Parking passes and Park and Ride passes are now on sale from the STFC Ticket Office or over the phone on 01743 273943.

Shrewsbury Town are pleased to announce the parking details for Sir Rod Stewart’s concert at the Greenhous Meadow on Wednesday 7th June.

There will be a number of Park and Stride and Park and Ride sites available to concert goers all priced at £10.

The Park and Stride sites are all within a 15 minute walk of the stadium with a large number of spaces being available to book in advance, however the sites at Pritchards, Brooklands Hotel and Toys R Us will work on a first come first served basis on the evening at these parking locations and can not be booked in advance.

Park and Stride sites Wyevale Garden Centre (Percy Throwers Garden Centre), Meole Brace Park and Ride, Louise House and Springfield Recreation Ground/Mereside Community Centre will all be able to book in advance.

The Park and Ride sites located at Halls Auction Market (Harlescott) and Oxon Park and Ride can be booked in advance and will offer concert goers an easy and convenient coach service to the stadium and a return to the their cars after the concert. The £10 cost includes parking and return coach travel to the stadium and back to your car.

There will also be regular shuttle busses from the town centre bus station to the stadium and back into town after the concert for people travelling by train or for those staying in town.

Parking at the stadium has been restricted in numbers and will therefore only accommodate disabled and those with hospitality packages.

There will be around 300 disabled spaces available at the Greenhous Meadow to Blue Badge holders. These will be available from the STFC ticket office or over the phone on 01743 273943.

Car Parks will open from 4pm on Wednesday 7th June ahead of the concert, which starts at 7pm. Doors will open at the Greenhous Meadow at 5pm for the Rod Stewart concert.

Shrewsbury Town CEO Brian Caldwell is pleased the plans can finally be released.
“We have been working hard behind the scenes to make sure there are a number of options for those coming to see Sir Rod at the Greenhous Meadow”, said Brian.

“It has been a bit of challenge at times due to the concert being midweek but I feel we have a lot of good Park and Stride sites around the stadium as well as the convenient Park and Ride sites further out.

“In total there is provision for over 3,000 vehicles which should satisfy the demand for parking spaces will be met.

“There will be a number of parking controls in place on the night to help people get into the Greenhous Meadow without fuss. These will also be in place afterwards to make sure everyone gets back to their cars and home as quickly as possible.”
