Owls left back Morgan Fox scored his first goal for the club at a key moment in the 5-1 victory over Norwich on Saturday.

Wednesday were off to a flyer against the Canaries at Hillsborough and were two goals to the good inside 22 minutes.

That lead was cut in half on 38 minutes but the Owls’ response was swift, as Fox muscled past his marker to head home his first goal, sending the hosts into the interval 3-1 ahead.

“It felt really good,” he told swfc.co.uk. “I don’t get many so it was a bit of a collector’s item but the most important thing was we got the win.

“I knew I was going to get my head on it but I didn’t see it go in, there were a few bodies back there.

“We wanted to start the game brightly, we put them on the back foot from the first minute and it’s good for the team to get a few goals as well.

“I’m delighted we gave the fans a few goals to celebrate.”

Wednesday are back in action at Hillsborough on Tuesday evening against Burton Albion and Fox continued:

“That’s five wins now from our last seven games and we have a great result to build on.”
