Hurst not worried by results on the road
Shrewsbury Town boss Paul Hurst has admitted that he isn’t overly concerned by Town’s away form this season.Since Paul joined the club in October, Town have lost just once at home, but their form on the road hasn’t been quite as good, losing on their last two trips against Peterborough and MK Dons.
Despite that Town have had good wins over Scunthorpe United and Millwall away from the Greenhous Meadow and Hurst isn’t worried about how Town's form ahead of games with Chesterfield and Port Vale in the next two weeks.
“I’ve looked at some stats and if we had been anywhere near to replicating what we have at home we would be in the play offs”, said Paul.
“It’s a massive ask, particularly when I came in and the team hadn’t won for 10 games and they were bottom of the league. Things take a little bit of time, but I think our overall away form places us around mid-table since I’ve come in.
“So, it’s not that bad and we have had a couple of good wins on the road and narrowly been defeated in a few other games. We haven’t been blown anyway or anything, but it would be good if we could pick up a couple more victories on the road before the end of the season.”
