New lighting along Super Blues' Way

Fans who attended last night’s match against Charlton Atheltic may have noticed a change along Super Blues’ Way.

New lighting has been fitted along the perimeter fence making visibility along the path much easier at night.

This is something that the club and fans have been searching for a solution to for many months and Chief Executive Brian Caldwell is pleased with the results.

“It’s something that’s been mentioned at a number of Supporter’s Parliament meetings since I’ve been here”, Caldwell told ShrewsWeb.

“We’ve got to say that we are very grateful to Chris Smith and the Super Blues who have funded this. Hopefully, those who attended the game pre and post-match felt that they had a bit of light going along Super Blues’ Way.

“It’s not the perfectly lit path that perhaps we would all want, but at the end of the day it’s some light in that area and it’s 100 times better than it was before.”

Meanwhile, Brian gave an update on the search for toilet seats and admitted that the club were looking for a solution.

“The toilet seats is quite a difficult one”, said Brian.

“I’ve obviously been talking to the manufacture of the original toilets to see if there’s something that can be done, but we are looking at solutions right now where we could get to some sort of middle ground that would perhaps provide a solution.”
