Shrewsbury Town launched a new Youth Group ticket offer just before Christmas for the Bristol Rovers game and nearly 600 youngsters have taken up the offer so far.
The ticket offer allows up to 20 U16s and 5 of their coaches/leaders to come to any of Town’s home league game for free.
Every home game since then has seen a whole host of different groups taking up the offer with football clubs, youth groups, church groups, school groups, young farmers groups just some of those who enjoyed a game from the Salop Leisure Stand.
The offer will be continuing during Town’s SkyBet League One campaign next season and is open to all Youth Groups.
Town’s CEO Brian Caldwell is pleased with the reaction to the offer.
“It’s great to nearly 600 people taking up the offer which was launched with nearly half the season already gone.
“We want to encourage as many youngsters to come to our games and this is a simple idea which people have embraced.
“It’s encouraging to see that not just football groups have taken up the offer and it’s important that people understand the offer is open to any youth group.
“The offer will continue during next season and we look forward to welcoming a whole host of new faces, as well as returning groups, to the stadium.”
