Over 350 people visited the Greenhous Meadow yesterday as Shire Services held their annual conference looking at school meal options.
Around 40 stall holders showed off their products which included fresh and healthy food options for kids as well as ranges of cooking and serving equipment.
Some of the biggest names in catering were there including Market Drayton based Muller and industry giants Bidfood.
Hospitality Manager, Max Senatore, was delighted with how the event had gone.
“There were around 350 people coming around so it was quite busy, but it was nice to see the venue full of people”, said Max.
“A lot of people yesterday came from Manchester, so we are expanding and people are choosing our venue, which is fantastic.
“It gave me some ideas about what I want to do for the future here at Shrewsbury Town. I had a chat with the organiser and she was very happy and she said she was hoping to do another one next year.
“We need more of these kind of events. We can do different conferences here for up to 600 people. It’s a fantastic venue and it’s got a lot of potential.”
