New Website To Launch

2 May 2017

New version of ShrewsWeb and ShrewsPlayer on the way

New versions of the Shrewsbury Town website and ShrewsPlayer site are set to launch towards the end of May.
Over the past year or so the EFL have been talking to some of the market leaders and rising stars in the digital field to supply and deliver new sites for the EFL clubs.
The new site will give Town supporters better access to all the latest news, features and information from the Greenhous Meadow.
The exiting ShrewsPlayer platform is also moving and it will include a number of features which will be of interest to exile Town fans outside of the UK.
Town’s media manager Ian Whitfield is looking forward to the launch of the new site at the end of May.
“The existing website has been in place for around 5 to 6 years and when it comes to websites the technology changes very quickly”, said Ian.
“The new site brings together the existing website and the mobile site together which means all of the information can be accessed from one platform.
“Over recent years the amount of people accessing the site on mobile devices has taken over from those accessing the site via computers.
“The ShrewsPlayer site will be changing, the name changing to IFollow and this again will be a much better service.
“With the season just finished it is a good time to change as it gives a few months until the first pre-season games so we can make sure everything is in place and ready to go.
“I’m sure it will take a little while for supporters to get to grips with the new format but as always we will be looking for feedback and looking to continue to improve the clubs digital output.”

The Town media department are once again looking for your feedback on what the club produces so if can spare 5 minutes please complete our SurveyMonkey-
