Bob and Barry step down after long service
At the end of season Player of the Season awards night hosted at the Greenhous Meadow on Sunday night there were a couple special awards handed out.The Special Recognition Award was presented by Chairman Roland Wycherley to Bob Green and Barry Taylor.
Bob has been a gateman with the club for over 40 years and head gateman for many of those, while Barry has worked in the ticket office for over 22 years. Both have taken the decision to step down from their posts and enjoy watching the Town games from the comfort of the seats.
The club thank both Bob and Barry for all the years’ hard work and service with the football club and wish them well for the future.
The other special award was to Ken Mulhearn and Steve Cross for recognition of their work in the community.
Both Ken and Steve are ambassadors for Shrewsbury Town in the Community and regularly attend visits and events hosted by them.
