Shrewsbury Town in the Community have two jobs available
Shrewsbury Town in the Community are on the looking to add an NCS Wave Coordinator (Fixed term 10 months’ contract - 20 hours per week January to May 2018, 37.5 hours per week June to November 2018) and Community Football Coach (Full-Time) to their ever growing team.
Shrewsbury Town in the Community is the official charity of Shrewsbury Town FC and there mission to utilise the power of sport to engage, inspire and strengthen our local community.
They are seeking to employ an enthusiastic, charismatic and dedicated National Citizen Service (NCS) Wave Coordinator to organise and deliver on our 2018 NCS project for young people aged 15-17 in the Shropshire area.
NCS is a voluntary programme for 15-17 year olds that will promote:
• A more cohesive society by mixing participants of different backgrounds
• A more cohesive society by mixing participants of different backgrounds,- A more responsible society by supporting the transition into adulthood for young people
• A more engaged society by enabling young people to work together to create social action projects in their communities. (For more information visit www.ncsyes.co.uk).
They are also on the lookout for a qualified professional coach to provide high quality Football/Sports coaching and physical activity for young people across Shropshire.
The ideal candidate will have:
• FA Level 2 Certificate in coaching football
• Afpe Level 3 PESS
• FA Coaching Disabled Footballers Award
As a member of the Shrewsbury Town in the Community you will work closely with local authorities, sports governing bodies, schools and sports clubs, with the aim to increase participation, support talent and provide an opportunity for young people to enjoy playing sport.
